Yorktown Memorial Hospital was built and operated by the Felician Sisters and the Catholic Hospital. The "Memorial" part of the title was meant to memorize the many men in the area who had fought in World War II. The hospital was built through fundraising, local donors, and grants from even the Ford Motor Company. The idea for the hospital came out of need, since the nearest hospital was located in San Antonio.  Construction got underway in 1950 and the hospital opened in 1951. The hospital operated successfully for many years, the nearby Nordheim, TX newspaper lists a total of 600 deaths in a six year period - quite a large amount for the size of the hospital and the area. The hospital closed in 1986 after a bigger, better hospital opened up in nearby Cuero. After the hospital closed, it was turned into a drug rehabilitation facility, which was eventually shut down by the state for their inability to control their patients. One patient walked across the street to the feed store and slapped an employee in the face. While it was a rehab center, a double murder took place in the basement. One female employee was involved with not only a co-worker, but also a patient. The patient survived the encounter saying he was in the basement with the female worker when the other male co-worker discovered them and stabbed her to death. Then the patient claimed to have wrestled the knife away from the male worker and stabbed him in self-defense. Another man died of a drug overdose when his friends dropped his lifeless body off at the emergency entrance to the facility, rang the emergency buzzer, and drove off. It is believed TJ's spirit still roams the hospital, as a large very black shadow is seen walking through the basement constantly

1st Visit - January 17 - 19 2014,   2nd Visit - February 15th 2014, 3rd Visit - May 10th 2014
Lets start by saying this is one of the most active places we have ever been to. It is old but not dead by any means. We have made three trips here.

January 17 - 19 2014
Investigative Results:

This was our first trip to Yorktown so we decided to do a two night investigation to make sure we had enough time to cover the hospital effectively. The first night we did a lot of exploring of the hospital to feel it out. On the second night we only had four investigators and the feeling once you walked through the front door had a different feeling than the night before. There was nothing at first, later the night the hospital came to life. We had two instances were only one investigator was in the hospital. There were a few little noises during the first solo. During the second solo something slid across the hallway. It was extremely loud but nothing was caught on either one of the cameras. During the reviewing process we caught the footsteps coming up the stairs at that same time.
Later on that mourning we captured the squeaking wheels of a possible medicine cart coming down the hallway. It seemed to stop by the pharmacy and then go back the way it came. Nothing visual was caught on the camera, but we did catch the audio on a camera and voice recorders. It was a very active night.
I will say that if you are on the fence and have never been to a highly active location, this is the place that will change your mind.
We caught every class of EVP's. We had a couple people see the grey man, as Mike the care taker calls him. We had a full body apparition by the emergency room entrance. Mike was witness to this.
Piano keys, knocks, taps, files moving and there were a lot of personal experiences. There are two very active spirits here, one is of a lady , They call Debbie. We have multiple evps of Debbie. The second spirit is of a little girl (Stacie). She seems to interact but wants to be left alone at the same time. Multiple evps. There is a male spirit that we caught in some evps, he seems to just say one word and that's it. On the other hand the Stacie and Debbie speak in full sentences most of the time.
Note: None of the videos or sound clips have been altered. The pictures have only been altered by adding text and or evidence location markers.

It appears to be two apparitions caught before starting the investigation while taking random pictures. They both appear to be facing us.

These two orbs appeared on random pics before the investigation.

This orb was also shot before the investigation.

This was our first night.  We were on the hunt for the basement.  You hear a little girl say "Oh No Oh No" and then again what sounds like "Don't do that" as to tell us not to go into the basement.  You hear her again as we are walking down the stairwell but you can't make out what she says.
We made it to the basement.  After looking around we all stood in the hallway to figure where we were going to separate and set up camera's. I walked a little way and stood still for awhile. I did not have the camera on and decided to turn it on and this is what happened.
This video has audio of  squeaky wheels coming down the hall, The investigators first thought it was possibly coming from outside. The noise is actually coming from the main hallway inside the hospital. The pharmacy is actually located in the middle of the main hallway from where the sound was located. We showed this clip to Mike Henson and he said he had never heard it before. He is in the hospital everyday which leads us to believe that it is not a residual haunting.
2-15-2014.  Two investigators are doing an EVP session in the basement.  One of the investigators ask a question and we get a little girl responding saying "It's time to leave us alone".
2-15-2014 This is us in the process of re-enacting the murder that took place in the Boiler Room, aka Murder Room.  Debbie is the lady that was stabbed to death.  She responded after one of the investigators says "This is probably the scariest thing I have every done".
